This site introduces exciting new research
on gay and lesbian love. Get past nature
versus nurture, a gay gene, genetic or
biological causes. Change the way you
understand homosexuality.  This project
offers a new way of understanding gay,
lesbian, bisexual and queer sexualities.  It
argues people are biologically gay, but
rejects the idea of a gay gene. It argues
people have a biological predisposition to
be gay because of a high concentration of a
socially desirable biological trait. It also
focuses on the importance of history and
culture in making an aspect of biological
diversity culturally important. While
homosexual love is as old as western
society homophobia and persecution of
homosexuals is quite new.  Modern ideas
of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and queers
are extremely new. Gay, lesbian, bisexual!

Welcome to the 'Why are People Gay?'
Research Project. It introduces a new
way of understanding lesbian and gay
    love.

The ultimate test of a new theory of
lesbian and gay sexuality is whether it
fits people's experience - so we want
    your opinion, ideas and feedback!

    NEW SECTION RELEASED!

The first section of Test 2 has just been
    released!

    This month's installment includes the
introduction and the first part of the
    gender section.

As this section progresses we are going
to talk about the enormous diversity of
    of modern GLBTQ experience.

We'll explore the diversity that goes
    from celibate relationships to sex-on-
site venues and beats. The infinite
range of ways we organize relationships
    from mirroring relationships to butch-
    femme, and  relationships that cross
age, class and other social divides.

    We will explore some differences
between lesbian and gay culture, and
talk about some unspoken aspects of
same-sex experience. No topic is taboo!

Read on! Enjoy! And don't forget
to tell us what you think!
