The second part of the theory is that there is also diversity in the way we
experience and express ourselves physically. We will call this having
'earthy' and 'sensory' traits. These traits are also in a bell curve in both
men and women.

When this research began we thought that people’s bonding mix and the
earthy/sensory trait mix went together. However, as the research has
unfolded this idea has been challenged. The project is now progressing
on the basis that the two don't go together at all.
However, the two are linked by the cultural story, and people are more
likely to ‘come out’ as gay if they are identifier bonders and they are
sensory men or earthy women.
